So I'm still undecided about what (and if I should at all) version of Impreza to get.

My old car was a UK turbo in Sonic Blue and I've at least made the decision that only Sonic Blue will do.

I "could" get the funds for a Type R or P1 at £7K but it wouldn't be the ideal way of going about it i.e. bank loan - not clever in these times.

I have 3K and with my Jeep sold with a little luck I'll have 4K. I don't really want a Terzo so I'm restricted to EU imported MY99/00 cars. Late UK cars just seem great value right now.

£4k, or maybe a little more if you can stretch to it, should by something tidy. Shop around and you may get a lightly modded example for that, e.g. de-cat, gauges, etc. making it a good base for further tuning

I've asked about V3s on here before so I know there are a far more capable car. Theres a lad local who has one and yours does look very tidy. I've thought about it alot and I want to get "THE" one because failing absolute poverty I don't intend making the mistake of selling again.

Its got to be Sonic Blue and V4 onwards.

Very nice. Personally unless its supposed to be there, I've gone off large spoilers. I put a P1 spoiler on mine and with everything else I felt I had gone to far with it (purely my own taste of course) To be fair though if my old car every appeared for sale I'd travel the country to get it back.

How do you get the brakes so clean?
