You may want to try & find a second hand prop, as the centre bearing is only available as a seperate item on vehicles up to 1998my and would set you back £215 from a dealer.

The later propshaft (1998 on) is sold only as a complete item, although it is possible to seperate the two halfs & remove the Bearing/Mount, you just can't buy a new replacement from the factory.

A new prop is a whopping £545 so me thinks that you will be better off with a second hand unit, and you should be quite safe with this option as it is very rare to have any problems with these.

The early propshaft (1993-1997) superceeds to the late one (1998-2001) which means thay have the same fittment & are interchangeable.

There is no difference between the JDM & UK Propshafts, and they also happen to fit the same prop accross the board to all Classic Imprezas with a 4wd gearbox (1995-2001), no matter what engine is under the bonnet.
