Exhaust flamer kit ( FULL KIT ) universal flame kit on eBay, also, Other Car Accessories, Car Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 08-Dec-08 14:30:12 GMT)

Fitting is easy. You do need to drill a hole in the top of your exhaust though

I do wonder where any unburnt fuel would come from. With injected cars does the ECU not switch off the injector duty cycle when the throttle is fully closed and above idle ?

Lol every part of me screams.. no Flamer kits are sad..

But I sooo want one!!

I just couldn't live with drilling my exhaust and the risk of setting my bumper on fire :P

simple all you need is...... a coil, spark plug, ht lead to connect the two, a timer relay (maplins sell them as kit form for about £6) and a switch, total cost under £20 and about an hour to fit (unless your exhaust is like mine and totally indestructable and went through half a dozen drill bits)

the flame is at the end of the exhaust, nothing to do with internals.

Some flamer kits cause overfuelling which is needed to cause the flame. Overfuelling is the cause of borewash, or so i am led to believe?

The flamer kit has nothing to do with the fueling of the car.

It needs unburnt fuel to burn, in itself the kit wont do that but to get the better flames then you will have to do something with the fuelling.
Basically the kits are illegal to use on a road car (ie turned on) and are pretty damn pointless tbh.

Ever wondered what would happen if you put a flamer kit on an LPG car?

We did >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WNs8wYVCz4

some flamer kits do interrupt the power to the coil to send unburnt fuel up the exhaust (normally to help naturally aspirated cars flame) but turbocharged cars generally overfuel on overrun anyway so a simple coil and spark plug is enough

IF, you decide on a flamer kit be careful on what you purchase as not all will work on a Scooby, read the notes on this link.
