Default Bugeye Rad problem? (Just when things can't get any worse!)

Ok my rad has split and got steam coming from all over the place!

Silly question i know but can the rad be fixed or has anyone got a rad that will fit a 2001 Bugeye they they could donate for a small price??

Is this also a common problem with these rads splitting in that place ?

Pics of the rad i need and my plastic welding patch thats a temporary hold! that come from a barbie pink box

Cant see the pics but mine split on the plastic welding up at the top of the radiator (black plastic).

Luckily got covered under warranty as they shouldnt split.

it is common on the classics, although it is the end tanks on them. You are looking at around £100 for a new rad
have a look on

Northern Radiators : About Us

I got mine for my classic the other year, quick delivery and good price

A big thank you for all your info peeps!

I have been told of a good place near me so will try them 1st! if not then i shall use them links above!

I think why they split is because where the top big hose connects to, It gets pulled and pushed by the engine rocking back and forth and eventually is weakens the plastic! Crap design IMHO (Been thinking why this happens all day and thats all i can think of...!)
