Default Castrol LS - MY05 Spec C

I want to purchase diff/gearbox oil for my '05 Spec C tomorrow.

Is "Castrol Hypoy LS" a suitable choice?

Thanks,
Wes.

Cheers Tony,

I did a search before I posted and I found that thread but also on my search I noted that someone said
"they are 'Mechanical Limited Slip' and therefore need special treatment and not just any old gear oil whether it be Syn' or Dino'"

Wasnt sure if the Syn' was abbreviated for Syntrax?

Used Castrol LS in my rally car mechanical LS diffs for years with no problems at all.
Buy the oils to do the job. Do not take anyone's advice and add these additives offered to 'convert' an ordinary oil to suit a LS differential.
Take a look at Castrol oils.com and type in your reg or model and it will give you the oils you need.
As far as i can tell Syntax Universal in the gearbox(3.5ltr) and Hypoy LS in the diffs (1.2ltr) each.
Not an expert but hope this is of some help as everyone has their own preference on oils they use in their cars.
