Thumbs up diagnostic check today

took my car to the scooby dealer today has i'v been getting a flashing/solid cel light on, and a squeal from the turbo at 4500, turns out the squeal is my boost guage, sure enough, i disconnected it and no squeal,so that was that sorted, but the history on the cel says it had misfired on all four cylinders at some point, i think it still does, if i get to about 4000 it stutters a bit then pulls fine, does it in every gear, could this be the chip or remap it had, has anyone else encountered this problem??

mine has had a similar sounding problem,i turned the boost up (no gauge so cant tell you what pressure)and whilst accelerating at certain revs the engine would seem to cut out for a split second then just kick in again,if i tried to press on it would keep doing it,but if i tried to accelerate a bit slower it wouldnt happen, i was told it was over boost, and advised to turn the boost down i did this and it stopped,at the time my cel was on due to a faulty tps ,so not sure if this will be the answer to your problem, but if you have boost control its an easy thing to check good luck.

sorry should have said ,you dont have to wind it right down, just do it gradually until the the problem stops,if it stops!and make sure that it is the bcv you are adjusting.
