I have a MY98 which has hesitation problems between 2-3000 rpm when gently accelerating in 3rd/4th/5th when warmed up. I have found a link on the i-club which says its found a cure. Has anyone tried this and if so was it any good.
It states the problem to be something to do with the knock sensor being too sensitive which is picking up general normal engine noise as a knock and retarding the ignition.

Does anyone know where the knock sensor is?

The link is

Any help would be much appreciated as its doing me ed in.

Stuart

This is what I did...

Do an oilchange and reset the ECU at the same time, it worked on my prevoius car (Legacy Turbo, +250.000km) which definitely had the same problem.

Edited - added the model of the car
