ISP with a good UPLOAD speed ? eg. 1Mb/s
Can anyone recommend a DSL based Internet Provider that can offer a good upload speed ?
Ideally 4Mb down / 1Mb up
We use Be , but this new one must be different (its for fail-over)

If you want to run on different hardware than the LLU (not O2 or Sky?) - you will have to go with something on the BT network (and thus limiting your upload).
Depends on what level of fail-over you want (and from where).

As I said we use Be which are actually pretty damn good value - 1Mb/s upload, so I was wondering if anyone has used an ISP that can offer similar ?
Has to be DSL unfortunately.
EDITED: Someone's just told me to check out Bulldog / Pipex, as they do 1Mb/s upload - will check em out.

If it's an ISP using the BT ADSL Max platform, then upload is going to be 832kb/second.
You've already got Be, so that rules out their ADSL 2 Annex M option.
If EasyNet have got to your exchange, then they will have some business services but they aren't cheap. I don't know about other LLU providers.
Does your exchange a RFS (Ready For Service) date for BT's ADSL 2 platform? There will be an Annex M option for that, though I'm not sure if that's available now and if all ISPs will be offering it.

Easynet is the company we're ditching on the other line, as they're too expensive / slow for our modest budget.
It's looking like Pipex, although I'll check out John's PlusNet suggestion.
I'm with PlusNet and took advantage of their free 3 month trial of ADSL Max Premium which is the service that ups the upload from 448 to 832K. Was surprised to get that upload too without losing some download speed but for £8 a month with no increase in usage caps or anything the price was OTT in my book.
I need 2 ISP's - one of which I have in Be. We're happy with them.
The other (fail-over and VPN) I was going to nominate Pipex as the package looks good (upload 1Mb/s)
ok, goto Samknows Broadband - Comprehensive Broadband Information and look up your exchange and see who is offering faster line there.
Zen or Nildram (proably Nildram). They seem to tbe the only ISPs left who are still reasonably good...

Basically, I want 1Mb/s upload on either side of the VPN link (also used as fail-over), so we're ditching Easynet at one end, Zen on the other and replacing with one ISP
