Hi Guys,
Turned on my ps3 the other day, up came the main menu but when i went to the section to click on the game it wasnt there. I took the cd in and out but still never came up,same with dvd's.

Please help

 

Maybe the lense is dirty or your cd's are the same.Also use the vacuum cleaner on it for removing dust too.If it has still got some warrenty left, send it to Sony for repairs and if they don't fix they usually give you a refurbished PS3.

definatly give sony a call as the same happened with mine, before it completely stopped working did ur games sometimes crash or pause suddenly? i got onto sony and they were really helpful, only bad thing is what machine have u got? obv they stopped making the 60gb one but they did offer me a referbished one or a brand new 40gb, took up the 60gb one and it arrived 3 days later, straight swap, and all is good now

 

no it didnt crash at all,juts turned it on one day and the game never came up on menu or automaticly. are you sure there is no settings that might need changed, its not like it doesnt turn on

 

have u had any error codes come up at all? maybe worth going to the sony site and checking the help section and the faq's
