CEL oh noes >.<
Well, my 1993 WRX just started getting a check engine light yesterday, and I can't possibly figure out why. I've recently replaced my coil packs, changed the oil and air filter. Car has been running magnificently since, but just yesterday, I noticed the light turn on. At first it only seemed to come on when I revved a little higher than normal shifting. Light would come on for a few seconds, I'd let the RPM's drop and then it would go away. I'd rev it would come on, then go away again. Only now, the light just turns on as soon as I turn the car on and stays on.
Now I'm really not a very car savvy person. I've only done the very easy maintenance so far, and I'd like to know if there's any way to figure out how to check and see what the light is coming on for.

www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk look on the help page for a guide on how to manually check the error codes or get a Select Monitor plugged in (i would guess any subaru specialist would have one)
well just use the manual way then
Any subaru dealer should have one as well but may be a bit funny as it's an import
Nearest dealers to you are in Chelmsford and Colchester by the looks of it.

Ok. I did it the manual way. Those connectors weren't exactly what I was looking for, they were alot smaller than I thought lol. I plugged them together and turned on the battery. I get two long flashes and two short flashes indicating sensor code 22, or Knock Sensor. So....what shold I do from here?

It's below the idle control valve iirc, removing the intercooler should help you see it better.
