As above really, going to go there in a couple of weeks. Travelling across from Essex and would much prefer to drive the scooby rather than the wifes Volvo, but I am very hesitant about taking it through the safari park at Longleat. Anyone ventured in the scooby and did it come out unscathed?
I did this with my parents in their 03WRX and it was fine. In the monkey enclosure we made sure no monkeys got near or just avoided them when they where on the the cars in front and drove around them.
Sounds like a really boring day out to me, i'm sure you will have more fun going down to the supermarket on a Saturday afternoon and parking the Scooby right next to the trolley bay and leave it there all day. That's much more fun.
You should have no problems but It's not worth going through the monkey section, you can skip that bit. The little b4stard will strip bits off your car.
Just watch out for lions climbing on the car!!!! when I went through three decided to climb on the car in front. an average of 400lbs each with **** off claws doesn't do wonders for the paint work.

I took my beloved UK300 through with no problems, although I did skip the monkey section which you never use to be able to do. Thanks to compaints from car owners you can now. Have a great day and if you plan to see all the attractions allow for plenty of time. Im only 20 mins up the road and still didnt fit in every thing in one day.

My mate took his MR2 there. A tiger came up nice and close for photos then started to have a chew on his spoiler! He loves big cats and was really proud of it for years afterwards. I'd have pooped myself I think
A few of us went through there earlier this year on the way back from the Mencap rally in Somerset.
We all went through the safari with no problems at all....although we skipped the monkey enclosure!

i took my little one to woburn a few times, once in the scooby and all the monkeys done was climbed on the car, though to be fair i aint that concerned about things like that generally
pukka thing to do though,,,, little one LOVED when a giraffe leaned down to the window and looked inside the car,,, then licked the screen and shes NEVER forgot about it and she was almost 3 years old then too

We faced far worse terrors on the MENCAP rally the day before. Psycho sheep.

Longleat is ok if you go in mob handed. There's safety in numbers

And the animals are fine. So long as they keep moving & you don't make eye contact.

Otherwise you could end up wolf food.

All in all though the whole day was not just the dog's bo££ocks but the Lion's as well.
