Noisy box addatives
Does anyone know of any addatives that can quieten a whinning gearbox?
I know I'm never going to get rid of the whine without a rebuild, but I'd like to try and quieten it down 'till I have time to do the rebuild.

Moilslip will probably quieten it, but it may also ruin it. Depends on the type of gearbox..

The only additive that fixes whining bearings is new bearings....
Synchro crunch etc can be brought on by poor oil.

true true suppose i did change the oil at the same time as adding it so prob was just the oil or both that sorted it lol
