Default Am I hitting Fuel Cut??

Coming to work this morning and I booted it in 2nd gear to get through the amber light, didnt red line it but must of been near the red line then the engine cut out after changing into third, This did happen once before in third gear but I put this down to I put a new battery on and it might not have been tightened up enough so it cant be that as it is secure now.

Just really need to know what this could be haven't really noticed it before as I dont normally give it the beans.

Cheers all your help is much appreciated.

Matt.

if it's a sharp jerk almost putting your head through the windscreen that would be fuel cut

if it felt like all of a sudden you hit a brick wall for a split second then yes that's fule cut. Not sure what car you have but i'd say check the MAF.Is the car hunnting at idle? have you done some mods without getting it mapped as this could also be the cause!(overboost)

No its not, the only way I knew at first was when the steering went stiff as the power steering was not working and all the dash lights were on.

If its not Fuel cut what other posibilites could it be, I have the car booked it at Subaru 4 You on Sat for various other things so I would like to know so I can get this recitified at the same time.

Cheers

Are you having a remap with the 440s being put in?

I would guess Subaru4You will find the problem.

I will be having a remap but it won't be for at least 2 months after having the 440's fitted.

Many thanks.
