which dump valve do you recommend for a mk1 m-1995 wrx?

oh!

they advertise the bailey dump valve saying the atmospheric type dump valve will prolong the life of your turbo.

is this not true?

 

VTA dumpvalve is not recommended on a MAF equipped car due to overfuelling read the thread in general technical

 

Im running a Forge Motorsport FMDV004 on my Sti

 

got bailey on mine, no probs.

If you want the noise, get a VTA and accept the loss of economy on a cruise (as it can't act as a bypass valve) and the overfueling on the overrun when its open.

The stock part does a perfectly good job of protecting the turbo and helping with fuel economy.

The choice is yours!

Out of curiosity, how much of a loss (ish) are we talking about?

 

ive got a baileys runs fine but not very loud i was thinking of getting the sard r2d2 these sound good & different

 

On an fastish cruise (60 up) as much as 5%, round town, two parts of not a lot.
