Morning!

had to do a mighty stop this morning as some prat pulled out in to my lane this morning on a roundabout by some nonce in a black audi a4 who was impatient, and nearly ended up in my front wing, I was proper pissed off anyhow, 2 miles up the road I notice around 65-70 quite a bad wheel wobble coming through the steering wheel, I've read a few threads on the search options, I dont think its wheel balancing though, could it be a stuck caliper maybe due to my early stop?

ps: car is my1999 uk turbo wagon, (still in one peice luckily for mr a4)

 

It may be as simple as a lost weight from the wheel.I'd get it into a tire place and get the balance checked.

I had the same after I slid into a ditch.. only it was the extra mud that caused it for me.

The above are possibilities, but so are warped discs. Emergency stops put a lot of pressure and heat on the discs, and then you come to a complete stop which is the worst thing you can do.

Have a look at the wheel and tyre for gouges, lost weights, flat spots etc. If that all looks fine then you need to get someone to look at your brakes.

right guys, I've wipped near side front wheel off and I can barley move the disc by hand, the pad is biting in to the disc, few pics below, I've given it a few gentle knocks with a hammer and it wont release, the disc was seriously hot, it must have been rubbing all the way home, (8 miles) - ive checked the other side and its very free to move in comparison - is there a way to release it easily? the seals dont look split or anything - thanks again guys
