Hi folks,

im considering changing my scoob,
and am looking for a little clarification.

I'd really like a two door, but am put off by the lift oversteer / flying through a hedge backwards stories i keep hearing/reading.

I cant stretch to a 22b so am thinking about a p1, seeing at this car is just a dressed up sti type R, does it still suffer from the sti's spinning antics ?

Hmmm can't comment on P1s (I've got an STi type R) but what I would say is that you will only get problems if you drive like a loon in either of them. Respect the car and you'll have no real problems in either.

Having said that, you could always buy an STi and change the suspension...

Any 4 wheel drive will spin off backwards through a hedge if you are driving quick enough, loose it and then lift off and hit the brakes as will any rear or front wheel drive car. Also I don't think it has anything to do with the 2 door configuration, it's more likely to be the genuine 280 BHP after getting out of a standard 208 UK car. I drove the P1 for a while on a test drive and I was amazed the complete lack of speed sensation in the car as there is so little lag compared to my UK MY98 with various mods.
