found the e-mail

Thank you for your enquiry but the STI Genome exhaust system is something that we do not stock & normally offer due to its high price. However if you really wanted one I could get one.

Two mufflers are offered by STI Sports Parts

Stainless steel £526.40
Titamium £921.60

Prices exclude VAT & air freight shipping that I would estimate to be approximately £250+VAT

So as you can see at these sort of prices for a muffler only we tend to sell more Zerosports exhaust systems.

hope this helps

You can get a genome from Japanparts.com: TOKYO GM SHOKAI KK
£581.75 delivered + VAT. Still a lot, but a bit better.

I paid £300 for mine second hand on here.

Question

I've had mine a while now,so getting kinda bored with it.

and seeing as I can't sell the car I *may* be looking into a change in the near future.I'm considering a Blitz NUR spec S at the mo,as thats the only other one that even comes close to it in terms of quality.

I just need to do a bit more research into how loud they are first(I don't want loud)

just testing the water for now so dont get too excited, but if I did sell I would like £200 +p&p

..oh and I've removed the pink paint from the lettering

lol,no thanks as good as they are I've had one before

so without starting a new thread can anyone tell me how loud a Spec S NUR is?...The blurb would suggest 96 decibels, but what's that in the real world, neighbour friendly or indeed is that any louder than the Genome?

I don't think the genome came as standard on any car, upgrade part available in japan only, the part number that came on mine when shipped in from japan was SG417FE000 with the descripition above reading SPORTSMUFFLER STIGEN. Tried to check this with a uk parts distributer but they could not recognise the number. Fantastic sounding exhaust!!!!!

With your PPP set up Elmer and keeping the resonated/silenced centre it shouldn't be too loud only at high revs. Mine is straight through bar the sports cat and most exhausts are pretty loud on this arrangement.

Ive got the genome on my WRX!

very nice sound out the back, especialy when nice and warm.

gives a nice subtle burble on tickover, but when u apply some power it turns into a nice roar with some nice tunes, not just a very deep groan.

not too loud to be classed as some chavy boy racer tho, which is a good thing

id recommend one !

I've long since ditched the oem ctre section so I'm guessing that the Spec S is therefore going to be too loud?

Hi,
Do you need a remap if you just change the backbox and is it very loud or boomy in motorways?
Could you post a video please?

If powerwrx doesn't want I am interested. Why do you want to change it btw? Is it too loud and would you mind posting a video?
Cheers

i had one for sale but its sold mate sorry.

they are stunning exhausts and nothing comes close to the note they create. Deadly quiet in the car at cruising speed, but once on boost its like a tornado coming out your exhaust lol.

Best exhaust available for scoobys IMO and you shouldnt hesitate in buying one

Fitted to my classic:
