Just picked up a right hand drive CG8 Wrx '95. Just wondering if anybody's got any tips....any known problems? any good aftermarket parts I should get?

 

If standard
It will understeer quite badly when pushed hard
Brakes are ****
mpg is ****e when pushed hard

For aftermarket parts depends what you want from the car really, a good panel filter and catback exhaust are a good start.
Worth uprating the brake calipers imo (but all depends on wheel size)

 

I know what you're saying about the understeer, its lowered but i can feel what you mean. As far as the exhaust goes, I got a 5zigen can on there right now, I know everyone talks about the hi-power, you think its good?

 

Same wheels as mine if they're 17". (Although mine won't be gold for much longer.)

 

if the exhaust is fine on your car then don't worry about changing it (unless you don't like it iirc the 5zigen are quite loud).

May be a good thing to find out where your local scooby specialist is and if you have a local scooby meet as it's easier to see what mods can be done and get advice from people face to face.
