Good to see its back from the bodyshop mate

You will have to come to a MK meet - usually a Sunday evening in the month..

not being funny, but i heard a rumor that those steering locks can act as a lever, making it easier for the thieves to break your steering lock and steal your car.

True but it keeps insurance premiums down and does act as a deterent for most scum after your car. And I am not sure how they could break the steering as the disc lock spins 360 degrees on the steering wheel. End of the day no matter how good the security if someone wants your car they will have it.

We have CCTV and private parking plus my car has an expensive alarm system so unless the scum can turbo boost over the ditch/hedge or the metal fence they won't go far. At home I have my trusty baseball bat and 9 iron

Anyhoo's the steering lock is going off soon as I am getting a snap off momo steering wheel and blackjack device fitted.

There's a Sport Special or STi in the same colour as mine but could have been me as I am now out and about since the car is mobile again (going back in next month, still need to get panels lined up properly and the bumper is a little in on the driver side as you can tell from the photo's).

Lol no, the car is an STi Type RA, came with the roof vent, DCCD, no electrics, no air con, no sound proofing, quickrack steering, quickshift box (mental acceleration but crap for cruising on motorways).

The car is extremely rare, from what I have found out Subaru made the following in Cashmere Yellow:

Sport Special
STi v6
STi Wagon
STi Type RA Light Weight Model

I think there were a few Type R's in Yellow but only know of one in Cashmere Yellow

Yeah Disclock devices spin around your steering wheel - aparently the experts gave up after 14 mins trying to get 1 off - they really are good... I always use one when I leave my scoob...

those bar type stoplock units etc.. waste of time - Disklock are about £80 well worth it!

Sweet, get yourself onto Type-RA.co.uk - Home of the Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA, Impreza WRX STi Type RA, Impreza Type RA V Limited, Scooby V. Ltd, visit the WRX forum & Subaru forum if you haven't already - I think the RA defines everything about what an Impreza should be, great car's and fairly rare these days.
