Default big jolting changing gear

hi all!!!
i have a w reg classic, completly standard as of the moment
nothing wrong with it,had it for 2 years nearly.
im noticing now though that if i give it sum in the gears and then change gear and put my foot flat down on the accelerator their is a jolt that throws me foward and then back in my seat again??
could this be that i have got a slight leak in one of my turbo hoses and it its loosing pressure when im changing gear? as i have also noticed in the engine bay, near one of my turbo pipes what looks like someone had sprayed wd40 on to it?(but they havent)
or could it be something to do with the map sensor?
i have been cleaning this with carb cleaner, but that didnt seam to make much of a difference.

Exclamation

Sounds very very familiar to a problem i had matey....its like when ur flat out and change gear it sort of hesitates then goes with a big jolt/bang which gives u a jerk!!??

I hadnt a clue what it was but i have just recently had a haltech aftermarket ecu along with front mount headers etc etc fitted and the jolting/jerking has completly gone and the car is now as smooth a u like!!

Sound like its the same prob as mine so id say its something in the map sensor or the ecu cuz mines is defo sorted now!! I will speak to the guy who fitted/mapped the car this week so see what he thinks it was!!

It means that the car is overboosting and causing the fuel to be cut momentarily. Once the boost falls below the threshold the car is fine, which is what is probably causing the jolting sensation. A remap will iron out this and any other issues you have with fuelling and ignition.

A TEK3 remap should be between 4 to 500 quid and will not only gain power but improve fuel economy and make the car smoother to drive. Extreme Scoobies are good at what they do and will certainly provide advice and guidance.
