It could be anything from overboosting due to the cold weather (does your car have any mods?) or as simple as dirt in the boost solenoid.
More info on the car please (fuel you use, mods etc)

with a hessitating prob there are loads of posibilities sometimes 1 or a couple relating to the same prob.normaly you start with most common, plugs, coils or leads, clean maf/engine idle check for vac leaks etc etc the list can go on check all these as there easy if you still get probs take it to a garage for diagnostics cos you could be looking for ever and it could be something more nasty like fueling probs which could lead to disaster i know cos i had 2 rebuilds on my previous impreza (if only i took it to a garage)

Give the boost solenoid a good flush through.

If i remeber right you can use the same stuff you would use for cleaning brake pipes out.

Mine did this on a 93 wrx i used to have and i replaced my plugs and flushed the boost solenoid and it went away.

Coil packs is another possibility. Check these to see if they are breaking down.

Gav.

there are lots of plugs you can use but id recomend a heat range 7 as your car is standared im currently opting for HKS heat range 7 at about £60 but everything else on mine is HKS keeping the theme
