decided im going for the 3"nur spec r.but need to know do i need a 3"up pipe and 3"down pipe an on putting the bigger bore up and down on will they still go stright on.cheers.
The up-pipe connects the manifold (headers) from the bottom of the engine "up" to the turbo. The standard up pipe on yours is ok as you will not see any power gains from changing it (it doesn't have a cat) the down pipe is after the turbo and connects the the centre section of the exhaust.
If you are going to de-cat it is recommended that you have the car re-mapped. This will keep your mods nice and safe, and get the best performance out of them.
A re-map should see you good for around 280bhp with decat and decent panel filter.
Hope this helps.
