I still have not managed to find a picture of the P1 "mud flaps." I am certainly intereted though. Surely somebody can post a photo or direct me to a scan of the Autocar pics that apparently featured in August.

Go on you know you want to.

I wasn't asking why the fronts were cheaper than the rears I was just asking (in the nicest way, not trying to be rude) why they are so expensive!

And another thing........

Jim,

Nice website but what are the prices for the standard Turbo/Sport mudflaps. I tried dropping a front and rear pair into the basket and both came up at £0.00 !!!!

Joey,

I think that your picture is the standard flap to which there is no price on the Cheam Motors site. The P1 thing is different - I should have put the part numbers in to clarify, so the original questions still stand.

Thanks

Joey, get a life, do you think Jim sets IM's retail prices?, i think not, you just keep getting your car serviced at the other Surrey dealer and all will be fine

The price is £8.50+VAT. So as good as a tenner.

Jim, can you keep a set for me to pick up either on Friday or Saturday???

Thanks

Thanks for your comments guys.........

Joey,
The aero flaps are expensive, unfortunately I cant really give a good reason apart from them being a japanese sourced accessory which usually means youre going pay a little more.

Boost,
The moulded mudflaps are £49.95 a pair, by the way, thank you for letting me know about them not being priced, it will rectified straight away.

Andy,
No worries mate, I`ll reserve you a pair. Please call in before 12.00pm Friday as we finish at that time until the 27th.

I will try and get a picture of the P1 flaps
on scoobynet today.......watch this space.

Many thanks

Jim

If it makes things any clearer, these things look like mini-mudflaps but Prodrive list them as Stone Guards.

I've got 'em, and they work well at keeping both stones and mud off the sills. I don't see why they shouldn't fit on the rear, either.

But the originals that I first saw at Prodrive were carbon fibre, or at least looked like it. The plain back ones are quite neat, but the carbon look was really trick.

My there is some "shining whit" about on this thread. Anywho, I'm confused, so far I'm lead to believe there are up to six different types of P1 mud flaps/stone guards. There's the very pricey jap ones and if you buy four you get two with a lot of plastic and two with less plastic, there's some that are free, some at £8.50 and even some carbon fibre ones!
Help this fledgling Scoobie Newbie - who has them, which is best and when can you fit them?

Question

I too would like a bit of clarification here; what exactly are we dealing with? Rally-style mudlaps, bits of plastic or moulded sill extensions?!?! If I knew what the buggers looked like I would probably buy them! Any chance of a copy of the picture Jim?
Sunilp, to post the image on here put it on the web then type in it's full URL with at each end: if you don't have webspace you could mail it to me and I'll put it up - I would like to see what you're all on about!
