How quick has anyone been able to get their hands on the new Sti. Is there a waiting list yet or are they available a few weeks after placing an order.

Does anybody know whether the Blue black STi has the same interior as the Sonic blue car. I was thinking that a black car would a bit strange with these bright blue seats.

I was speaking to my dealer on Friday and he told me that 750 STIs had been produced for Europe and they had all gone. Due to demand Subaru Japan have decided to put the car into production but you have to place an order with the factory. If you order now then you should have one by end of March.

 

My dealer has told me they are expecting two unsold STI's before the end of Jan. They phoned me obviously looking for a prospective sale !

 

This new car is bound to create the usual special edition hype, much of it initiated by the dealers. My impression from speaking to a few dealers is that there's alot of interest but not many definite orders. I understand that to secure your order, you will need to fork out £1000. One dealer even said that I would need to pay half the price up front, later refuted by another.

Most cars will probably not arrive until the first 2 weeks in Feb. I think I'll test one before I commit.

Its is true that to secure an order you have to pay £1,000 deposit...in order for the dealer to then sort the order, he/she has to then forward £1000 to IM (I believe)...
