fitted my ninja decat today i was expecting a deep burble but it sounds more nova'ish it sounds ok but not realy subaru like but it has made a big differnce in performance but when i pull up to junctions the revs drop right down until it nearly stals any ideas? cheers

 

doubt its got anything to do with your exhaust.

 

its the back box that makes the noise. the loudest being the vortex afterburner or blitz nur spec-r

decat would make **** all difference in sound apart from you can hear the turbo spool up quicker due to the fact that you no longer have the heat shield around the down pipe.

The problem you talk about your engine nearly stalling sounds like a vta dump valve problem, if you have one take it off and put standard one back on.

is it a 99 or 00 and you disconnected the battery whilst changing exhaust?

 

cheers must b the backbox then its brand new but was put on b4 i bought the car its a nice backbox but hasnt any name on it i thought the cat would have been smothering the sound wick good thing tho now it pops away like a trooper it seems to have sorted its self out with the revs maby it was getting usto the cat gone!! cheers
