Looking to get...
Hello,
So I have had a new age STi (and loved it) but I am itching to get my hands on a classic as I have always had a soft spot for them.
The main reason behind the purchase will be to:
1. Get a cheaper car to save money
2. The money I save I can reinvest in the car and turn it into a trackday monster
With the new age's it wasn't so difficult to know what to look for however I am a bit lost with the classics. I know it needs to be an STi or similar so what do you guys recommend?
Budget wise I am not looking to spend more than 5k otherwise I will not have much to reinvest back into the car. I am not too bothered if the car needs some work, as long as the engine is solid - so what kind of things do I need to look out for on the engine?
What are the common faults and what are the signs of an engine on its way out?
And finally, which classic colour gives more BHP?
Thanks in advance,
Fz
