Default Painting orange wedges

I have decided to paint my orange wegdes on my DMB classic silver.

Just wondering do they require rubbing down first and do you need a coat of primer?

Also what paint is the best to use?

Cheers

Best to clean them up with panel wipe and use a proper plastic primer (not the sh*t you get in rattle cans from halfords)...

Go to your local paint supplier and get a small tin of cellulose thinners and some UPol plastic primer.. wipe down the wedges with the celly, give them a very light sand with some 800 gritt then prime with the upol.

i did mine last week.i prised them off gently with a screw driver then used thinners to get the paint off using a sponge and a tooth brush.then gave them a good wash down and rinse.i have left mine unpainted as the plastic is a charcoal grey colour which looks good with my dbm colour.

Popped mine off when I bought the car new in May 2000.

Hung them in the garage and sprayed matt black - didn't bother with any prep.

Re-installed 3 hours later - jobs a good 'un

Now needing re-spray as stone-chips of Orange are showing through ...

did you actually know that if you soak the wedges in thinners or paint stripper they are actually black to start with.Thats what i did stripped them back to the bare plastic and just gave them a couple of coats in matt black spray paint job done
