Thumbs up TESCO - Insurance Comparison Site

Looks good ... been quoted £316 lowest, £360 highest price for my Scooby - protected.

Might be worth a look?

Sounds very good indeed- I'll bear that in mind come April when I re-insure. Last three years Norwich Union have been cheapest for me, and they proved very good when I actually had to use them when someone ran into me - helpful, efficient and a courtesy car (albeit a Hyundai Getz, but hey, I saved a fortune in petrol the two weeks I had it!)

Just got a quote £150 cheaper than what I am paying... give this another go come renewal. My current insurer is on there and came second.

There were sales Reps handing out leaflets regarding this in the Tesco Store - clearly, Tesco are looking to steal commission off the other Compare sites.

Therefore, the prices will be the very best until the market share target is reached.

Weird, quoted me £570 on Tescos, comprehensive, protected NCD.
Confused.com quoted £440, comprehensive, protected, both with Budget
Guess I'll be getting mine via Confused.

It's the 'few' extras that have nailed it for you .... as an interesting test, try going in and saying NO MODIFICATIONS.

I'm convinced that you will be staggered by how much your mods cost annually.

I've been with Tesco for 5 years, looked around at each renewal time, and they were the cheapest. This year the premium jumped (no claims or other changes) and they are about £200 more than my new current insurer. I reckon its the old story of faithful longterm customers being shafted to support the new ones

My modifications only cost an extra £150 a year. A bargain considered how many mods are on there and how far from standard spec it is.

Couldn't provide me with a quote either. One thing about it is it forces you to state your employer's business... in my case, that's television broadcasting. Those of us who work in the media are considered 'high risk' by insurers for some reason - so putting that always bumps up my premiums. Confused.com, on the other hand, merely allows me to put myself down as 'office worker' - which is the truth - without stating the business of my employer.
