Long time reader, 1st time poster.
I know that many people have asked about oil, search is down, wonder if anyone has any decent links (on this forum and elsewhere), about choosing oil, filters, and reviews/tests.

Welcome aboard. 
Have a read of these 3 threads. They talk about main bearings which is very important and what oils to use. Lots of experts have posted on these threads. You'll need more than an hour.
