Default Help for my friends 52 wrx please

Hi

I recently purchased a downpipe and decat for my brother in laws subaru, i fitted this for him (car has also got a magnex backbox and a k/n panel filter). All was well, a great jump in performance and the engine revs better too, but after a few days the engine light has appeared on the dash. He brought it around tonight while i checked a few things over i discorvered he also has way too much oil in 12mm over the maximum.

Has the increased performance caused the engine light or could it be the oil?

Is a remap the best way to go?

Any help much appreiciated.

full decat will cause cel,the rear lambda will register a cat fault.
remap should be done on a decatted car due to increase in boost

As said the light has probably come on due to the ecu thinking the cat has failed. Simple to turn off when car is remapped.

Thanks for the replys guys.

So can the ecu/engine cope with the extra performance while the car is remapped?

Where is best to go for the remap he is based in north yorkshire. - Racing line Halifax?

Any preference?

scubasteve has had his car mapped there, speak to him. Be careful as there are 2 scubasteves

scubasteve is the one you want.
