Default DIY aircon re-gas

Anyone done it with one of those aerosols of 134a available on ebay? Is it straight forward?

My aircon works, but at six years old its not as cold as it used to be.

Don't bother mate. The cans are about the same price as a proper re-gas from a garage..

ebay has them at about £25 delivered - is it any good and is it easy? Can you overfill the system?

Vauxhall dealers charge £29.95.
Don't know if they'll do a Scooby but might be worth a phone call.
Now where's that 21 year old virgin at?(female I hope!!!)

Bought a Halfords kit with a guage. It says the pressure should be in the blue zone 25-45 psi if I remember correctly. It also says test it with the car running and air con on full, but as the aircon cycles the guage goes from bottom of the blue zone to the top.

Does this mean it is perfect pressure, or at the bottom of the acceptable scale? The air doesn't seem as cold as it used to .

doesn't top of the gauge indicate there is a problem somewhere in the system? It does on the gas I used. You might wanna try using an anti bacterial cleanser through the system also.

kwik fit charge £40 if it's not ten percent cooler at the vents you get it for free.
I phoned Days of Chelmsford (local scooby dealer) they want £75!! Yeah right I could probably get liquid nitrogen cooled seats for less than that!
