Angry whole in block

my sti has popped a con rod took engine out have nice big whole on front passanger side so now need a bottom end what mods is needed for 2.5 or are they just a straight swap also would my mahle pistons fit this block

Block, gaskets and a remap will do, but I'd advise at least a set of drop in pistons to future proof it.

2.0 bore is 92.5mm 2.5 are 99.5mm and you'll prob find that one the pistons isn't as it should be if it put a rod through the block

you will see boost a lot earlier on a 2.5

my pistons are new mate so iwill just after buy one that the rod snapped

Standard 2.0l bore size is 92.00mm, 92.50 is Oversize

is type r bottom end same my sti or would this be a better engine.

dont know wheather to go for 2.5 or just 2.0 block which is best
