Count the number of wheel turns from full lock one way, to full lock the other, from memory a normal impreza rack is about 3.5, the STi type whatever quick racks about 2.75....

Simon,

Sounds about right IIRC not all classic STi's were fitted with a Quick rack.

I've done this great mod!

As said:
Full lock one way then full the other. Be accurate.

Quick rack = 2.25 turns Sti V3 = 2.7 ish

Some Imprezas are fitted with QR and can have window stickers to advertise it.

This is a very nice mod.

Price of a good classic QR can be high, £400+
Fitting about 2 hours and simple.

Driving?
Just great, steer almost anywhere without releasing the wheel.

If you can, do it!
