Angry When is a £1000 not a £1000

My dad bought a Forrester a few months ago from a main dealer in Kent and duely handed in the £1000 cheque back offer from Subaru that they were doing at the time.

The dealer was unsure of what to do with it and said that they would process it. He has just received a phone call from the sales guy stating that he would only get £900.
It clearly states on the cheque back that the £1000 is regardless of any deal that you make with the garage. WTF! Came up with some bulls**t about warranty money???

I am in the process of writing a complaint letter for him which will be going to the dealer principal.

Does anyone have the name of someone at IM who I can also take the matter up with?

£100 of the £1000 was subsidised by the dealer, you are entitled to it! I would say talking to the dealer principal is the best course of action for now.

Cheers SPG. The sales guy, in my opinion, has been taking the pi** from day one.

It's a shame really as I have nothing but good words to say about the service guys.
