It looks like my wifes MG ZR with a load of chav bodykit from Halfords stuck on it !

I can see that Subaru are maybe aiming for the 'youth' market ( who wont be able to afford to buy or insure it anyway, unless they bring out a 1.1 non turbo version ) - but do they really think that most of the people who might actually BUY a new Impreza ( I'm guessing male, aged 35 - 45, doesnt wear baseball caps ) are going to go for it ?

Compare the design of the new Impreza to the new EVO and I know which I'd be going for if I was buying new !

Actually subaru have done something Mitsubishi aint thats improved the engine (and the car) plus they have aimed the car at a wider market (the 1.5, 2ltr and 2.5 are all more powerful than their mitsubishi lancer counterpart ) plus your getting a diesel (163bhp) in 2009.
Remember that the performance market for these cars is very small, you want manufacturer developement, that requires more sales, and 3000 units per year in the uk aint a lot

Im not 100% sure Mitsu need to improve on what they have, plus they do have the edge on handling etc, not taking anything away from the scoobs, I own one myself but the pics of the new one look really sh1te IMO

JDM V JDM then the STi acutally has the edge over the Evo (id find the vid on youtube but it would take an age was the STi v the RS (6sp) v the RS (5sp) v the GSR v the Spec C) uk wise the 260 v the STi then the STi would have it, or you can go the FQ300/320/340/360 (all JDM cars btw) v the UK STi

Default Are Subaru designers pissed or what?

Must say that is one ugly looking car. what are subaru playing at, comparing the looks to the evos and sti 8,9 this looks like dogs dinner I think they like going downhill rather than uphill

I read Subaru were trying to aim at a broader market (women) with the new car.. Hense why it looks like you could quite happily pootle around the shops in it. I suppose it makes good... business sense or something.
