speak to paul at zen performance, hes the one of the best subaru tuners out there with decent prices, ive got a similar problem and have been told i need a rebuild due to the mileage and abuse the car gets, he quoted me £650 for a rebuild on a 93 wrx which is very reasonable compared to the others, most people on here would say to keep away from additives as they dont really work

I put some Molislip with my gearbox oil as it was making an awful noise on over-run. Hey presto, noise gone. I understand that this is not a permanant fix but for now its Hot ****.

STOP. Depending on your model/gearbox you have a centre viscuous diff and the possibility of a front diff.
Gearbox lubrcants can render the diffs U/S.

Erm maybe, VC are sealed and the oil doesn't affect them its only plate diffs that are affected by the oil, so unless the OP has an STi R/RA he is OK, but if he does, then yes he needs to be careful (the imprtance of filling in my scooby!)
