I'm getting a loud humming noise when I first start up, firstly when I first turn on the ignition when its pressuring the fuel lines, then when its started you can still here it over the sound of the engine for approx 30secs then it goes quiet.

Is this the sound of a dying fuel pump??

 

If its been getting louder then yes its on the way out, an ideal time to fit a walbro?

 

It's been doing it since I bought the car a month ago. Its not been getting any louder but I'm not used to that kind of noise.
I can't understand why its only loud for about 30 secs when started up, then it goes quiet.

Is this a normal noise on other scoobies?
