Default has anyone else got a 'clicking' from under their dash? (newage)

don't normally have my stereo down too much, but was driving with it off over the last few days and have noticed this really fecking annoying click.

sounds similar to the click noise you get when the wipers are on intermitent, there's a slight click when the wipers are back down (maybe a timer?) anyways, this click is lots louder and totally random.

i'm thinking some sort of thermostat maybe?

if anyone has any idea it would be much appreciated as it's doing my head in now i know it's there

takes my mind of the countless rattles though

just been out with my head stuck under the dash with the car running, waterspray has faint click from left of dash so not that.

fan has cut in and no noise there, been ticking over for 5 mins, so the noise is when it's on the move.

aircon, recirc button no noise. but the rear heated windscreen button is a similar click. why would it be doing that driving along though

I had a similar noise on my old WRX when I bought it. Just some random clicking every now and then.

It eventually stopped, but when I came to remove the radio unit (to fit a cd changer) I found a small box there which I could only assume to be some form of tracking device.

I did not know it was there, did not pay a subscription for it, so after a time the noise stopped, so I assumed that's when the subscription ran out.

Well I put mine into the dealer and they had to reset my alarm and I have the same clicking all the time now. Clicking is every couple of minutes, it used to click once when I started the car and then that was it.

Since I had my Clifford installed there is a random click now and again from under the dash, nothing that bothers me though
