Default PIPELINE PETROL CARD UPDATE

Hello All,
I posted on here a week or 2 ago asking if anyone had heard anything about this good idea that unfortunately never seemed to happen.

There was a lot of SN folk thought it was a scam, Database selling of details @ a £ a go etc.

ANYWAY>>>>>>>>>>>>> I E Mailed BEN & he replied, there is no scam, selling on of memberes etc, as he pointed out, there are now over 500,000 members & it's difficut to get the time to replypersonaly.

However, because I didn't send him an abusive E Mail, he took the time & trouble to reply personally.

He's still trying & is optimistic of success, and as he pointed out, it took nearly 2 years to get it going in Holland ( & they are a lot less cynical thanus lot).

So I say, good luck Ben & if he gets us the discount Petrol Card, good on him.

To the doubters, as he says, you can alwas delete your details.

Good Luck PETROL HEAD PERSON!

Let's give the man a chance!

Regards

Any info on the scheme running in Holland ?

Im one of the doubters who never signed up for it, and screamed scam, and cant help myself carry on saying it too.

So little progress, all progress covered by the official secrets act it appears... Resulting in...... nowt just yet.
I find it hard to believe that ove 2 years down the line, none of the major players in the supply chain have done the opposite and approached Ben about it.

The one question I am left with is.... HOW exactly will it work? A very large fuel account, 28 day account for private users? Surely if fuel suppliers were willing to give a discount to loyal customers they would say, fit our fuel cap that only our pumps fit and we will discount you.

Aaaah I dunno, im just a keyboard warrior

Snazy, TBH I don't know. Part of me wants this to work ££, part of me thought like a lot, scam.

He was getting slagged off all over the place and, then I thought, ask the man his self.

AS I said, nice E mail, saying that he wasn't giving up, ripping anyone off etc etc.

I do hope it works, don't know how it works in Holland, However, if we are all honest>>>> in this country we all moan, but do NOTHING to try to make things happen, you just never know?

Regards.

I remember this when it was first touted and I too though SCAM... It was always going to get support from car enthusiasts in principle but in practise nothing would come of it.
Sure enough 2 years later, half a million eagre subscribers and nothing in the UK to show for it. I would like to see links to the dutch concept for some reassurance that my initial SCAM thoughts were wrong.
Nice.

AS I said, at least he replied to my E Mail, lets just wait & see.

You never know??

AS he said, if you think your being ripped off, delist yourself.

Mind you I am an optimist originally from Dundee, we all are.

Is this still "in the pipeline" (pun intended)... The guy who set this up started about 4 years ago or so.. IMHO its just a stupid marketing scam and we shouldnt encourage him.

i know a lad like this, always bantering on about his new buisness ventures

of course, he never will start anything up because he is a dreamer! and with all the guliable supporters giving ben scam-well faith, he will never give up!

think of it "in the real world" he would have to be dealing with the goverment to get a discount anyways.........

I've had a Shell card for ages & got their latest info & discount details through only the other day. There is no "discount on fuel" at the pumps - its a version of a loyalty card earning you points that you can later redeem, including (in exchange for a high no of points) an amount of "free" fuel.... Not doing it down - just pointing out it's not a point of sale discount card....
