If you're going to Star Performance it's better to get a few cars together...the price goes down accordingly. For Imprezas I was quoted 60+vat for 1 car...50+vat for 2...didn't ask beyond that cos me and my mate were interested. I think there were a number of guys up there about 6 weeks ago and they paid about 35 quid as a result.
I'm definately interested in going up if you can get a date and almost certainly my mate will be too..so that's two Scoobys for starters......let me know your thoughts..

cheers

Would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction of a 4 wheel drive rolling road in the Glasgow area.

Thanks

AVA will soon have theirs up and running - probably at the new year.
I think the closest 4wd is star performance in Glenrothes.
Are you thinking of putting your car on soon - wouldnt mind seeing Stars setup. Might put my car on to get a flywheel figure

Myself and 1 other scooby will go to Star next weekenf if you're looking for numbers.
Personally I can only go after 1pm both days ( hopefully d/p fitted sat a.m.)
I don't knoe if that fits in with your plans ?

Let me know what you think and the cost approx ?

cheers

Anyone know the price for going a simple power run for a 2wd cossie at star. It would be interesting to compare a stage 1 cossie against the scoobs
I would probably be up for it next weekend as well - maybe with an sti 4 tyre r as well.
Cheers

Might not be able to manage next weekend.Working on Sunday, but more concerning is a rather loud clunking sound from the engine might be a tappet mechanic looking at it tomorrow will keep you up todate.

I have heard that STAR don't really know what they're doing , or what they've got!But I haven't been myself,so could be wrong.

I've only heard good things about Star Performance and they way they look after the cars on their rolling road. It's true they are mostly a VW tuning firm, and don't offer any Scooby tuning parts, but having been in the rolling road business for more than 20 years, I'm sure they know more than some others!

Some people mumble that the figures produced are lower than produced elsewhere, so must be wrong, but mahy think they are more realistic.

Jim at Star Performance will open up on a Sunday if he gets a minimum of 6 cars taking part. Cost around £30 per car for a couple of power runs and plots.

James - thats awfully harsh words if you have never been yourself to see how they go about things. I dont believe it is stars first rolling road - so its not like they dont have the experience.
AVA - where I usually go also give low reading but funnily enough always his the factory values perfect for standard cars if they are healthy. I just want to get a flywheel figure for my car as I've not had one.

Wink

Please don't take my post the wrong way.Maybe I was a bit harsh.I don't condem STAR,as I said I have not been there myself.I had however been told by 2 separate people that they were not as clued up as other tuning companies they had been to,but if all you're after is a power run then it wouldn't really matter anyway.
