Default Car stolen

My 1997 Scoob turbo estate was stolen earlier this week, off my drive at about 10.30pm. Gave chase but my transit wasn't really quick enough

R908 LSO if anyone sees it, in blue. Stolen in Leicestershire.

now that the gutting feeling is starting to subside, i am baffled how they nicked it, it's got the factory fitted alarm/immobiliser, i thought that made it pretty secure. And if they have the ability to get past that, why would you only nick a relatively old, cheap car?

This was my second scoob, after this i'm certainly not keen to get another unfortunately.

BTW, police were a waste of space as expected. They rang the next morning with a crime number, that was it.

had you had the car long?
does seem odd someone would go to the trouble for an "old" car, unless it was running mega bhp?

sorry to hear about this mate-hope you get sorted out soon

had the car 4 months. there was no broken glass, and they must have been very quick.

I'd start by paying the previous owner a visit with a bat.

As far as I'm aware, Cat1 alarms weren't fitted as standard on UK scoobs until the ''99 model year. I had one on my MY99 S reg.

it had the factory fitted alarm/immobiliser, it was cat 1 though, maybe it was available as a dealer upgrade option?
