From my experience, think of a figure that #you# think its worth and then deduct about 3 grand from it

Yeah at the end of the day fella, always mod your car for you, not for what perceived capital gain you will get on it, as when it comes to selling it, no one cares how much you have spent on it.

I paid £9k for my scoob in December, MY03 standard with 20k miles. I'd ask at least £9.5 - £10k if I were you.

Just out of interest, What sort of MPG you getting?

Just done a local autotrader search and chepest blob was a 53 plate with 79k on it FSSH for 8150.
Yours may be harder to sell and price due to mods that not everybody is interested in.
Best of luck
Nik.

A wolf in tame (ish) wolfs clothing! Nice motor. Gotta be worth more than 9K.

I agree with 9k, 10k at very best.
To be honest if I was looking to buy another scoob I would want it to be standard, obviously if you can find someone who wants one already modded, then you a laughing so to speak,
It does look a very nice car just unmodded would be my choice so I can mod it myself

Had a long think about it, and decided to keep it. Really does bring a smile when driving it.
Plus for the money i would get i may as well hang onto it anyway..

Cheers the info tho every one.

Probably better off keeping it if this one's anything to go by...

eBay.co.uk: SUBARU IMPREZA WRX PRODRIVE ++2003 "53" SILVER (item 200091104423 end time 25-Mar-07 22:01:34 BST)

If everything's as described he's certainly bagged a bargain there!

Thats what I used to think and have consequently spent far too much modding my '03wrx. With sensible mods like this one has and mapped properly, it would be pointless to buy a standard car for the same price and then spend another £3000 plus bolting the mods on. If I was starting again I would buy a car like this or an Sti of course.

Bloody Hell!!!!

Where from and what were you trading against?

Ive been asking around and the best I got was 8500 for pretty much the same car against a new one. It has been modded but I was advised by most to return it to standard before they will accept it. Good job I kept all the old bits.

Against a brand-new one mate.

I'd been offered mostly £8500-9000 but managed to squeeze them.
Whats yours?

Its a WRX with STI spoiler, light covers, scoop and wheels. As has already been said standard car will retain more value and have a bigger market.

53 wrx against a euro import. Got an offer of nearly 9k but the price was higher on the new one.

Was phone round pretty much everywhere today. I might have more luck if I turn up with the car and cash. They probably don't give phone enquiries their full attention because of time wasters.

Did anyone notice the winning bidder is no longer registered with ebay, or that the car had outstanding finance? Maybe not such a bargain after all..
