ive just filled out the budget calculator on there and it says that band g unleaded is £300 a year as it is saying i will be £90 worse off, are you sure it is £400?

 

It's £300 this year, £400 next year. Band F, by comparison, is going up £10 and then £5. Yay for my slightly old Subaru!

If the car was registered in 2000, then it is not banded by emissions at all. It is grouped by cc - Either above ro below 1500cc. SO, you will be obviously above it - which equates to £180 this year and rising by £5 for the next two

 

What would the tax be on a 2005/6 2ltr STI ?

 

Depends when it was registered - After March 23rd 2006, then its in the top band and liable for £300 this year and £400 next. If it was registered before then, then its Band F and liable for £200 this year, £205 next and £210 the year after that.

 

I'd like to know that too. I thought my car a MY05 STI was a Band G cus it has 265 (g/km) co2 emissions??

Will I or will I not be affected by the new tax changes. I thought I will not be cus my car was registered before 23rd Mrach 2006.

Band F is only from 186 - 225 (g/km) co2 emissions
Band G is 226+

So doesn't that make mine a Band G????

I think the vehicle bandings of A to F apply to vehicles registered after March 2001.

Band G only applies to vehicles registered after March 23rd 2006 that fall into the higher category of 226+ (g/km) co2 emissions.

Car registered before March 2001 are seperated by those below 1550cc and those above.

That The CO2 groupings remain unchanged for bands A to E. F now has a ceiling of 225 g/km and new band G covers all cars with a CO2 of 226 and over.

Does this now mean my WRX 2001 march 20th bugeye with 242 co2 on the log book is band G
