Hi Steven,
have one (AP Formula Clutch Kit) on my MY03 STI. No problems, is just a little noisier than the original one.

As Steven82:
If the engine is stock, then an Exedy unit off Welcome to the API website will be ideal.

I have the AP organic @ 380 x 370 but I race the car very hard as well as a gentle 3000 miles a year. The AP has been faultless.

IMHO: If you want to spend the $$$ fit the AP incase you end up tweeking the engine.

I have one running a 2.5L with 470 bhp...holds well, easy to slip although I've only done one standing start (it was mental). Only had real smell of clutch once when pulling away quick (not standing start but slow start), other than that just smell the tyres as they smoking/sliding. Good clutch...looks mint quality to.

My AP organic after 8000 miles and over 140 drag race starts.
It has just gone back in as it was only 25% worn.

Graham, what power you running on these drag starts? I've had a little fear of doing standing starts on an organic clutch but sounds like its much tougher than I thought...excellent!

I use a Exedy Organic in mine. Excellent clutch. Mine was s/h and still done 100++ drag launches and only died when I launched in 2nd gear and didnt let off:

Bear in mind Graham is more 'mature' than most SN members

By that he means an old slow fart!

I launch on the hillclimbs with 6000 rpm and sidestep the clutch.
The car has 380 x 370 and on sticky semi slicks so good grip.

This year I'm using these, but only available to Mature Drivers and not Hot-Shots like Bob!

Nope, the slicks have been allowed for 2 years now which i resent as the class is supposed to be Road Going.

Many of the cars are now trailered, slicks, stripped interiors etc as in Race Going class!
