My GF has an L reg diesel 306.
Basically when the lights are off, the indicators work fine.
When she has the side lights or headlights on, they work, but slower.
When she has the lights on and presses the brake, they don't work at all!
When the lights are on, and she presses the brake, the 2 little arrows on the instrument panel glow faintly, so do the actual indicators on the outside!
I've replaced the hazard warning switch and the indicator stalk.
Any ideas?????

I did think about the rear clusters, but didn't check them!!
So should I make a seperate earth once I find the earth track on the rear clusters? What and where should I be looking on the clusters?
Thanks!

check for obvious corrosion on rear bulb holders and in the wiring plug give it all a good clean with electrical cleaner and a brush i doubt you need to add an earth cleaning normally solves

JonnyRoper - Thanks very much for your help!
I fixed it yesterday. When I took out the drivers side rear cluster, I could see some burn marks on the plug that goes into the black plastic that holds the bulbs. On closer inspection the plug was melted into the bulb holders! It was especially burnt around the 2 earths, it had been arcing to earth and created the melting!!!
New holder and plug was £5 from a local scrappy, totally fixed now!
