Can anyone advise me on the best induction kits available for my my98 uk car.
I can buy a Ram-Air setup for about £60.00 + vat but have heard not so good reports about them is this true.
Will I also suffer the maf censor problems as well.

I have a Blitz Induction Kit on my MY98 UK car.

It's certainly not the cheapest, but it sounds lovely.. As it's just a metal mesh no icky goop from the filter is going to get onto the MAF sensor.

Oh.. and it looks ace too (a good reason for removing the bonnet blanking plate above it)

I have a Pipercross Kit fitted to my MY99. Looks good, sounds grrrrrrrrrrrrreat.

Changed the B/box @ the same time. Car transformed - better pick up pulls clean & hard to the red line in each and every gear.

Cost £ 78.00 ish, shop around

I have a piperCross on my MY94 UK.
Sounds fab.
Had no problems apart from cold weather coughing when the engine is cold.

Mine seems OK in the cold - no 'coughing' yet.

Wet weather - again - no problems - my car lives outside all the time, never garaged. Have not tried under water yet - depends of the fooding!!

I ghave not removed the blanking plate under the vent - it may be problematic if i did do this although i have not found the need to. the air ducting inside the car/under the bonnet is in the right place to 'feed' air to it

I could post/fax you a copy of the what it look like in-situ if this is any good, alteratively pop over for a looksee/tryout if ya want.

Incidently - i got mine from my Scooby dealer who reccommended/fitted it for me. I was going to go far a panel type filter, glad that i did not. The sound is just fab. Sadly, i ofter turn orf the CD jusrt to listen to lovely induction sounds (maybe i need to get out more?)

Subaru have issued a bulletin to all dealers warning that air flow meters may fail if wrong air filter is fitted.

So watch out for your warranty on UK/euro cars.
