Default What questions should i ask?

Hi all

I am interested in a scooby on auto trader (2003 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 WRX STi 4dr Saloon (private) £12,000) on page:

Auto Trader UK - Used Car Search - Used Cars for sale online.

can any of you help me compile 10 of the most inportant questions i should ask the seller..

i have thought of a few :

1. Has the car been involved in any accidents?
2. Is there any finance owing on the car?
3. why are you selling?
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Thanks in advance

Julian

I'd ask him why he didn't hoover it out before taking pics for potential buyers lol Seriously though, you think people would want to make a good impression?

It doesn't say it's a UK car, would that put you off?

The car's an import.
When was it imported
What is its previous history
How many owners before it was imported

I would advise taking someone adept at buying cars and with some knowledge of the marque along with you. If you need help compiling a list then you will be easy meat for an unscrupulous seller.

If it is a grey import then ask if it has got a BIMTA certificate & what was the auction grading (will give you an idea of the condition of the car when it was imported from Japan).

remember your insurance may possibly be higher, but not in every case. This may mean that for the difference you could buy a type uk with lower milaege

If you need to ask us what to ask, youd be better to take someone with you that knows what to look for. Itl be a safer bet mate.
