Default Sump Guard & Diff Guard

Hi - I need to get a sump guard and rear diff guard for my 06 STi - any ideas where I can get them?

Subaru can supply the rear diff guard (not sure of price yhet) but they don't make a sump guard for it....

Cheers

Think the rear diff guards retail at £160.00 from the dealers.
Stan Palmers will give you a little bit of discount if you are cheeky
Still a lot of cash for what they are. Have you seen the GB for these guards in the Group Buy section?

Damn sight cheaper from a supplier in the states as well if you can avoid the vat and customs issues!

Oo no I'll take a look.

I need to get it before WRC though, so probably cutting it a bit fine to get one from the US, knowing customs!

You'll be surprised how quick items can get here from the US, go for it!

Genuine Prodrive diff guards are for sale on NASIOC for $159.Have ordered a few things from the States and delivery is normally pretty quick 10-14 days.Get them to mark it up as a gift worth less than $25 and there is no import duty.

all good and well until Customs open it then you are legally responsible for the charges despite the sellers declaration.

That said even if customs do open they'd laugh at the suggestions that the guard was not worth more than $25.00. I mean look at it...........

My US supplier offered one for $141.00 and said shipping would be $70.00. If you can avoid the VAT and import you will be laughing. Would have gone for it but decided I had a few other bits and bats that needed to take priority this month.

Gave me an eta of 10 days delivery......................

Have had a couple of items sent this way one being a porter cable from Autopia which is a lot bigger and heavier than a diff guard and had no problems.A lot of the american vendors on ebay openly advertise this service.Mind its pretty sad that you have to do this as the items are probably made in this country shipped to US and still sold for half the price they are here.Same with the Prodrive alloys they are made in Italy but are half the price in the US shows how we are getting ripped off in this country.
