100watt bulbs
Any body know if its ok to fit RING 100w bulbs to a jdm96wrx.Is my wiring capable of handling these with out melting.Wiring and switches need to be a minimum of 20 amps at 12 volts:help greatly appreciated
Well, I should add they are Lucas 100/130 watt bulbs and they been fitted for five years to no effect, apart from one bulb blowing 6months ago.
How good the "Ring" branded bulbs are not for me to say

Jonny Gav and I with others did experiments two or three winters ago on numerous bulbs. I uprated the wiring on the STi 6 Wagon to run 130/90s and we tried 100/90 off road only etc, various PIAA, (grossly over-rated and ridiculously overpriced)
I guess we tried between 12 and 15 bulb sets.
The 130/90 and 100/90 were certainly bright but we found that just more important than the brilliance was the focus and some of the brightest bulbs and most expensive were very poor.
In the end using blind testing (no pun intended) sometimes with people not involved in the experiment we concluded that the best bulbs were the General Electric GE +60%. These plus 60% were totally contrary to our expectations as we thought that the 130/90 would sweep the board and we also expected great things from the very expensive PIAA.
Second and a close third were Osram plus 50% and Phillips plus 50%
Using the plus 60 or plus 50 there was no need for uprated wiring so I had wasted money on that and a relay.
The Osram and the Phillips are well advertised and each have won Auto Express annual tests but the GE +60% were not in either group test.
