Default folding mirror motors, anyone changed one?

has anyone changed a motor in their side mirrors on the scoob? the motor has gone in my offside mirror, have got a replacement mirror of ebay but its scratched to hell, so would prefer to swap the motors.

ok, so no one replied so I decided to do it myself!!!

right so maybe this will help someone??

get the mirror off, make sure you take the door card off, and unclip the wiring connector.

unscrew the three screws, get the mirror on a table turn it upside down, theres 3 screws, just take them out.

the mirror will come apart into 2 pieces.

the fiddley bit, heat the glass up and get a sharp flat head screw driver between the warm plastic and the glass and find the two sticky pads by feeling carefully.

get the glass off, unscrew the plate the glass sits on by taking out the four screws, then theres another four screws holding the motor in place. just take them out and replace the unit, easy.

the hard bit is getting the glass back in (well I didnt manage to do it)

i will

could have helped if i had seen this earlier

To get the glass back in, try warming the black plastic mount to make it more flexible!
